9/16/2014

Two people were injured in a head-on collision in Boston on Sept. 10. According to reports, the accident took place just outside of an Easton pizzeria around 8:30 p.m. A black 2005 Nissan Altima and a 2005 Subaru Legacy were both involved. The investigation into the accident was ongoing, and it was not immediately clear which vehicle had gone left of center or how the accident occurred.

The female driver of the Nissan Altima, reported as being in her mid-20s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a Boston hospital by ambulance after a MedFlight helicopter could not be used due to weather conditions. She reportedly suffered internal injuries and suspected broken bones.

An elderly man and woman were in the Subaru Legacy, and the man was being treated for an unidentified head injury at the hospital. According to reports, neither the elderly woman nor the dog that was traveling with them were injured.

The Easton Fire Captain reported that there were no clear brake marks on the road, making it difficult to determine exactly what happened. He believed the vehicles were both traveling between 45 and 50 miles per hour at the time of the impact.
